Linelle LeMoine is a mixed media painter with a background in the field of science.
Following an 18 year career in psychiatry, she pursued her passion for art and painting by completing studies at the John Smith School of Art, the Ontario School of Art, and the Toronto School of Art where she earned a diploma in 2003.
Linelle draws inspiration from her background in biology, her tranquil backyard studio sanctuary, and the works of Abstract Expressionists such as Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell.
Using these influences, she creates mixed media paintings on both canvas and wood panels that offer her unique interpretations of the natural world.
In a society increasingly reliant on technology, Linelle recognizes the significance of the human touch. Through her use of a diverse range of tools and materials, she demonstrates the power of human intuition and creativity, presenting the mark of the hand as a testament to the enduring value of traditional artistic expression.
